The Dog, the General and the Birds is a 2003 film. Technique inspired by cut-out paper films, which gives a specific rendering.
A deliberately simplified, almost imperfect graphic (non-respect of proportions), which leaves room for poetry, dreams and metaphor.
To adapt the graphic universe of Sergeï Barkhin, the director Francis Nielsen
opted for the technique of cut-out paper and for bright colors, sometimes unrealistic, which irresistibly evoke the brushstroke of Chagall.
The scenario is inspired by the life of the father of the Comtesse de Ségur.
